Mental Health Europe (MHE) is delighted to invite you to an online event about mental health and the environment.
Organised by the Coalition for Mental Health and Wellbeing in the European Parliament, MHE and the Institute for European Environmental Policy (IEEP) the event took place online on 27 January 2021 from 10:30 – 12:00 CET.
The discussion focused on how to reflect the interlinkage between the state of the natural environment and people’s mental health in European policies. On top of that, the event saw the official launch of the mental health and environment policy paper and a policy brief by the IEEP and Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal).
The event brought together the European Parliament Coalition for Mental Health and Wellbeing and other interested MEPs, European Commission (including DG ENV), Member States’ permanent representations, and other relevant stakeholders from environment and health sectors.
You can watch the live stream recording of the event on Mental Health Europe’s YouTube or this web page (above). Follow the conversation on Twitter via #MHEnvironment.
MEP Alviina Alametsä (Greens/EFA, Finland), MEP Sara Cerdas (S&D, Portugal), MEP Cyrus Engerer (S&D, Malta), MEP Soraya Rodriguez (Renew Europe, Spain) and MEP Maria Walsh (EPP, Ireland) will serve as the new co-chairs of the Coalition for Mental Health and Wellbeing in the European Parliament.
FIND OUT MOREThe Coalition for Mental Health and Wellbeing in the European Parliament is a real change-maker and a platform of like-minded MEPs amplifying the voices of people with mental health problems and advocating for a coordinated response to address the most pressing determinants of mental health.
