Covid-19 mental health support: Call for good practices

As a coordinator of “COVID-19: mental health support network”, which has been initiated by the European Commission in 2020 within the EU Health Policy Platform, Mental Health Europe (MHE) is inviting its members to share good practices about mental health support during the pandemic.

If you would like to contribute to shaping the EU agenda in the field of mental health, you are warmly invited to share any relevant resources with MHE. In particular, we are looking at the following examples:

  • examples that help children/young people/students cope with the mental health impact of the pandemic on their daily lives;
  • examples that support the mental health of older people, and/or of people from vulnerable populations such as the homeless, refugees, migrants or the LGBTIQ community;
  • examples that support (professional and voluntary) workers in health and social care (e.g. as regards burn out, stress, grief);
  • examples that help people with pre-existing mental ill-health;
  • examples that support the mental health of people with pre-existing physical conditions (NCDs, cancer, rare diseases).

Based on the results of this exercise, the network will develop a programme for webinars to be organised within the scope of the EU Health Policy Platform. In addition, the European Commission will use the results in order to plan their future work in the field of mental health.

Please note that this call is open to Mental Health Europe’s members based in the EU. Please complete the document below and send it back to EU Mental Health Network Coordinator Milos Stankovic by 24 February 2021.
