MHE National Focal Points Training 2011
For the third time, Mental Health Europe has organized trainings for its National Focal Points*. The trainings took place in four regional groupings in the first half of 2011.
This year’s training round focused on cooperation within MHE’s work programme 2011 as well as on topics such as the EU 2020 Strategy for Smart, Sustainable and Inclusive Growth and its relevance to the mental health and social inclusion field (with particular emphasis on the National Reform Programmes), the implementation of the European Pact for Mental Health and Wellbeing on the national level and the European Year of Volunteering 2011. The training took place in a workshop format where participants were asked to prepare presentations prior to the training in order to actively contribute to each of the topics.
*NFPs are intermediaries between MHE and its member organisations and other stakeholders in their respective country in cases where information from the European level needs to be disseminated at the national, regional and local level, as well as in cases where MHE needs input from its members working at the local, regional and national level in order to report back to the European level on specific issues of consultation.
