MHE National Focal Points Training sessions 2009

MHE organised training sessions for its National Focal Points. A National Focal Point is a representative from one of MHE's member organisations in a given country and act as the contact person for MHE and liaise with all the MHE members in its country.

The trainings, organised by MHE, included an update on ongoing developments in the field of mental health and social inclusion policies on the European level and also provided participants with lobbying tools such as how to approach national, regional and local authorities in order to bring forward mental health related issues. Fundraising tools and the use of the media were discussed during the trainings. Another focus of the trainings was also laid on the upcoming European elections taking place in June 2009.

The trainings took place:
22-23 January in Vienna
19-20 February in Athens
12-13 March in Brussels
26-27 March in Copenhagen
23-24 April in Helsinki

The full report on these trainings is available here.
