MHE capacity building seminar MHE Conference Aalborg 2008

The capacity-building seminar was organised by MHE in the frame of its Conference on Diversity in Mental Health and Well Being- An opportunity for intercultural dialogue which took place on 7th-9th August 2008 in Aalborg. The capacity building seminar aimed at building capacity of MHE members regarding recent developments in EU social policy in particular regarding the new National Strategy Reports on Social Protection and Social Inclusion 2008-2010 and the European Strategy on Active Inclusion as a means to promote the active and social inclusion of people with mental health problems who are amongst those furthest from the labour market. As MHE has been and is actively involved in the European Pact for Mental Health and Well-being, the capacity-building seminar looked at how MHE members could contribute to the implementation of the Pact. This seminar aimed at strengthening the MHE members' ability to support the involvement and participation of people with mental health problems in relevant policies and processes.
