At Mental Health Europe:

  • We lobby the European institutions to raise the profile of mental health and well-being on the European agenda
  • We develop policy recommendations, through European projects, position papers and we publish our own research projects
  • We represent the interests of our members and support them with relevant information on European policy developments - We advise them when needed, and act as a bridge between them and the European institutions
  • We raise awareness through our newsletters, websites, leaflets, press releases, articles and video clips
  • We advocate for the human rights and social inclusion of people with mental health problems
  • We offers support in finding partner organisations for collaboration, exchange of knowledge and expertise, and dissemination of good practices
  • We organises meetings, seminars, workshops and conferences
  • We publish monthly newsletters and produces detailed briefings and reports
  • We provide up-to-date information on mental health issues on our website and social networks

Why MHE Members joined:

  • to find and maintain contacts with other associations involved in mental health
  • to access information at EU level 
  • to ensure opportunities to participate in policy-making at EU level
  • to exchange examples of good practice, policy and legislations
  • to afford consultation as a partner in European projects

MHE welcomes new members sharing its vision and whose mission is to promote positive mental health and well-being across Europe.

Membership is open to all organisations and individuals based in Europe.

MHE members represent not only non-governmental organisations involved in mental health promotion, prevention of mental health problems, advocacy for and the protection of human rights of people with mental health problems, but also associations of health professionals, health service providers, groups of users, ex-users of mental health services and volunteers, and those representing the families and carers of people with mental health problems.

MHE's individual members are persons active or simply interested in mental health.
