MHE Briefing & Preliminary Assessment of the European Pillar of Social Rights

The EU Commission has recently presented the European Pillar of Social Rights which comes with a number of legislative and non-legislative initiatives on equal opportunities and access to the labour market, fair working conditions and social protection and inclusion. There is much potential in relation to mental health but MHE and its members need to join advocacy efforts to have the provisions adopted since a lot will be in the hands of EU Member States.

MHE has a produced a new briefing note for members to help them understand what is the Social Pillar about, why it matters and why it is important to get involved. This preliminary assessment of the Social Pillar and Directive on work-life balance looks at the 20 principles of the Social Pillar and focuses on principles which are relevant to mental health.
