Networking

Mental Health Europe's work is based on collaboration. It is the European wing of the World Federation for Mental Health and is in official relations with several European and international organisations : the World Health Organisation/Office for Europe, the Council of Europe, the European Commission and the European Parliament.

To ensure a better recognition and understanding of mental health / illness issues Mental Health Europe also collaborates with major European mental health, disability and social non governmental organisations and belongs to several European lobbying groups and umbrella organisations : European Disability Forum, European Institute of Women's Health, European Public Health Alliance, Geneva Initiative on Psychiatry, Platform of European Social NGOs.

Mental Health Europe organises the Forum of European NGOs working in the field of mental health including the European Network of (ex-)Users and Survivors of Psychiatry, European Federation of Associations of Families of People with Mental Illness (EUFAMI), Confederation of European Social Firms, Employment initiatives and social Co-operatives (CEFEC), Comité Européen Droit Ethique et Psychiatrie (CEDEP), EuroPsy Rehabilitation, and Alzheimer Europe.
