Our committees
MHE has currently 3 Committees to provide assistance and advice on specific policy areas that are particularly relevant for the work of the organisation:
- Committee on Mental Health and Human Rights,
- Committee on Mental Health and Minority Ethnic Communities,
- Committee on Mental Health and Women.
These Committees are composed of members from at least four European countries and representatives of member organisations and individual members having proven expertise in the specific subject area. Each Committee also includes at least one member of the MHE Board.
Members of the Committees meet once a year, generally on the occasion of the MHE General Assembly and/or Annual Conference. This yearly meeting represents an opportunity to assess the Committee's achievements, debate on current relevant topics, as well as decide on new activities and actions to undertake.
The next meeting of the Committees will take place on 7 August 2008, during the MHE 2008 Annual Conference "Diversity in Mental Health and Wellbeing - An Opportunity for Intercultural Dialogue" (Aalborg, Denmark, 7-9 August 2008)
