The MHE Secretariat is based in Brussels (Belgium). Its main responsibility is to provide policy support as well as valuable information and advice to the MHE decision making bodies and committees, and to the MHE membership network. The MHE team monitors closely the work of the European institutions and the development of EU policy and legislation. The Secretariat is also in charge of developing and implementing the work programme, organising meetings, facilitating networking between the MHE members and developing external partnerships and alliances.

IN MEMORIAM:
MHE remembers John Henderson, colleague and friend.
John Henderson, MHE Senior Policy Adviser and good friend, passed away on 4 January 2010.
We will all deeply miss him, but we are lucky to have such good memories of all he has done.
John was a true European, believing deeply in the benefits that come with partnerships and collaboration in Europe and the European Union.
He dedicated his life to improve the lives of others less fortunate.
Latterly he has been involved in working towards a better mental health for people and communities in Europe.
We will not only miss John for the warm person he was, but we will also miss the wisdom he had and shared.
